Meningococcal Typing
EMGM-recommended typing targets
The strain designation for meningococci, recommended by the European Meningococcal Disease Society (EMGM), is to include the serogroup, PorA VRs, FetA VR, MLST sequence type and clonal complex. An example is:
C: P1.5,2-1: F5-4: ST-11 (cc11)
