European Meningococcal MLST Centre (EMMC)
The EMMC is part of the
EU-MenNet project funded
by the European Union. Meningococcal isolates are submitted to the EMMC
for multi-locus sequence typing (MLST) on the
basis of data obtained from pan-European surveillance by the European
Meningococcal Epidemiology Centre (EMEC).

and submission to the EMMC (for use by participating reference
laboratories).

Sequence database (access
restricted)
- This database contains results obtained by the EMMC on isolates
submitted by reference laboratories and is updated in real time as
sequencing results are obtained.
- Reference laboratories can
access results for their own samples only.

Direct submission of data
- Reference laboratories can submit
MLST data for inclusion in the EU-MenNet MLST database.
- The
database is linked to the EU-IBIS
data so it is important that the id number used for your samples
is the same as that submitted to EU-IBIS.
- The only fields
that should be submitted to the MLST database are the id and the
MLST allelic profile (id, abcZ, adk, aroE, fumC, gdh, pdhC,
pgm). Please send these in a spreadsheet.
